Notice Board For Kittle

19, Aug, 2020

Following the many positive comments for our notice board at the Community Hall, which has proved to be an important community resource, we have applied for planning permissin to install a similar but smaller board in Kittle.  This is to replace the small board on the bakery wall, which has suffered wind damage numerouse times and did not provide space for community notices.  As in other Gower communities we decided to place this on the village green for easy access and with the permission of both the National Trust and Gower Commoners.  The notice board is of oak construction and will compliment the oak planters previously installed by the Community Council.  It is proposed to site the board at the rear of the existing bench to minimise the imact on the open space. One side will be for Community use and the other for Community Council notices and Bus Timetables. The dimesions of the board itself is 127cm x 106cm (4'2" x 3'6") and will sit on posts which will place it just above the back of the banch to a total height of around 6'. The planning application is live and we welcome comments.
